So, Glad It's Friday

I am thrilled that it is Friday. Roy and I are going to a BBQ and have plans to go shopping. I am going to Florida in June and I have to get some new things. Roy couldn't get the time off this year to go. But, what I am doing for him for when I am gone. I am going to several different restaurants and getting him gift cards. I don't want him to starve for nine days. LOL

I leave June 21, about a month, for Florida. But, my parents are here in St. Louis now. My Dad and my brothers always go to the Indianapolis 500 Race. They have gone for years. We are going up to see them on Wednesday and Thursday. I haven't given Mom her Mother's Day gift yet. She said she would like a manicure and pedicure. So, I am taking her to a Salon that my sister-in-law goes to. My nieces don't know this yet, but they are going along to to get a pedicure and I am getting my legs waxed. Sounds like a fun day!!

I also just got bifocals yesterday. I am having a hell of a time getting adjusted to them. I have always had the progressive lens... but, I could never get used to them. I have already been twice to the Eye Store to have them adjusted. I am having a hard time with the bifocal. I told Roy that I needed Lasiks. That flew over like a lead balloon.

Do something fun this weekend. I know we will be kept busy.

Busy Monday and Tuesday

I have an eye doctors appointment. I have had two accidents. Both my fault and neither did any damage. Thank goodness. The second one, this guy had stopped and wanted to see if I could stop. He had his blinker on to turn left with no traffic coming. Well, I didn't get stopped. I skidded and everything. We hit hard. But, there was no damage. I thought we hit hard enough that my air bags would of deployed. But they didn't.

Then I have an appointment in Cape. Then I have to take back some of the things back to Macy's that I got. I don't know what I was thinking, but I will never use them. LOL

Tuesday, I have an appointment with my primary physician to see how physical therapy went. It failed. LOL

Roy is off on Monday and Tuesday. I have lots planned.

Have yourself a great start of the week.

The Husband Store

A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - "These Men Have Jobs."

She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2 - "These Men Have Jobs and Love Kids."

That's nice, 'she thinks, 'but I want more.'

So she continues upwards. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - "These Men have Jobs, Love Kids and are Extremely Good Looking."

'Wow, 'she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - "These Men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help with Housework."

'Oh, mercy me!, she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'

Still she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - "These Men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak."

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are the visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited. LOL

Have a great day!!

Happy Mother's Day

Mom,
You're My
Best Friend

You're the one
I can always count on
when I need to talk,
When I'm upset or frustrated . . .
the one who gets excited
about the happy times
in my life
just as much as I do.
You're the one who
reassures me when I'm
worried about the future,
but you also make me
feel needed
when I've helped you
in some small way.
You're the one who
encouraged me to keep
pushing myself when I'm
ready to give up,
the one who makes me feel good
even if no one else around me cares.
And even though things
are always changing around us
I know I can
always count on you. . .
my mom and by
best friend.

Happy Mother's Day, Mother
I Love you with all of my Heart!

A BIG thank you to Karen for posting for me when the main tower got hit by lightening. Now what else can go wrong?!?!?! LOL

What Happens...

When lightening and bad Karma strike? No internet access!

It's Karen writing for Dawn again; she asked me to blog for her. She's so trusting of me, isn't she? LOL Actually, she has permissions on my blog now so that keeps me in check ;-)

Lightening struck the main tower that her ISP uses. There are many scientific reasons why this happened, however, I have my own theory. That's right, bad Karma. Bad Karma for her ISP owner who sticks it to her every month when his service is waaaaaaaaaaaay below par.

There is not restoration date at this time but hopefully Dawn's good Karma will kick in and she'll be back soon.
